Earn a Degree in 18 Months or Less as a Part-time Student

If you're eager to start or advance your career in business, Florida Community College has some exciting news for you. Now you can get on the fast track to your Associate in Science degree in Business Administration.

There are two options for degree completion available: a hybrid option (blended online and classroom work) and a completely online option. The Accelerated Business Degree Program hybrid classes are held at Downtown Campus, Kent Campus and Deerwood Center. The totally online program is coordinated through Open Campus. The degree takes just 18 months to complete. Students who begin the program with some college credit or who have applicable work experience or military experience may finish the program earlier.

Students move through the program as a group and generally take two classes each session. Each hybrid class meets only one night per week, and the other half of the week's work is completed by distance learning. The online classes do not require time in the classroom. Using an accelerated eight-week semester format, either option allows you to complete your degree much more quickly than other programs.

When you're finished, you'll be ready to enhance your value to employers with a wide range of business skills and business knowledge. Because the AS in Business Administration is a state articulated degree, it is transferable to any Florida state university or college. Florida Community College has negotiated Articulation & Transfer Agreements to facilitate the transfer of credits earned for this degree at Florida Community College to bachelor degree completion programs at the following colleges and universities in the business field. Many of these bachelor degree programs can be completed through distance learning.

Entry Requirements for the Accelerated Degree Program

• Complete all entry requirements to Florida Community College
  
• Complete the advising form (See the form for options to submit it to Accelerated College.)
  
• All transcripts must be received from all previous schools attended and from learning
  experiences including DANTES, CLEP, Excelsior, military experience, and ACE
  
• Degree must be goal related for student, i.e. job related
  
• Accelerated degree advisor must give permission to enroll in the degree program
  
• Remedial courses, if needed, must be completed
