Visual art should be sent in groups of 4 - 10 works. We require B&W professional quality glossy prints made from negatives. Please supply photo credits, date of work, title, medium, and size on the back of each photo submitted. Include artist's resume and model releases where applicable. We welcome an artist's statement of 50 - 75 words.
Please include SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) and a short contributor's note with ALL submissions. Foreign contributors must send U.S. postage or international postage coupons. Manuscripts without a SASE will be neither read nor returned. Payment is usually in copies; a grant sometimes permits a small stipend. Copyright reverts to the author upon request. Because each submission is reviewed by several members of the Kalliope Writers' collective, response time may be 3 - 6 months. Thank you, in advance, for your patience.
We do not accept submissions by e-mail or fax. Status of submissions is not available via e-mail.
