CLEP at NS Mayport

CLEP Testing is available at NS Mayport

Electronic College Level Examination Program (CLEP) testing is available to all personnel at NS Mayport. Personnel are not required to be Florida Community College at Jacksonville students. DANTES funds the CLEP exams for military personnel with “Armed Forces of the United States” ID cards. Two photo ID's are required of all personnel who test at NS Mayport. A military ID card is required to be presented at the time of the test for personnel to take advantage of the DANTES funding for the test.

Unfunded personnel include family members of military, Department of Defense (DoD) employees, and other civilians. For each test, those personnel will pay a separate, non-refundable $15 registration fee by check or money order made out to Florida Community College and a $65 exam fee by check, money order, or credit card. The $15 fee must be paid no later than 3 p.m. the day before the test date and can be given to Florida Community College staff at the NS Mayport office. The $65 exam fee will be paid the day of testing and can be given to the CLEP exam administrators.

On the day of testing, all examinees are required to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the test.

* Testing appointments must be made no later than 3 p.m. the day before your desired test date.
Group CLEP testing days/times can be arranged for command ESO's. A minimum of five persons must available to test. Interested ESO's should call 904.632.5020 or e-mail assessme@fccj.edu to arrange testing.

CLEP testing preparation

Students indicate that the best way to prepare for CLEP exams is to study the CLEP or AP study guide for the subject area. Study as if you were preparing for a final comprehensive exam. The Navy College Office may have study resources available.
